For some context: I have a fairly large financial model, with probably 300+ names. I gave the model to another party for their input, and I believe they pasted in a section to the model from another sheet that had many other defined names.
The result is a excel model with several thousand names, and I'm trying to clean it up. So, i'd like the ability to select multiple names and delete them. I'd also like the ability to show names that have errors in them.
The add-in that I linked in the OP actually has a lot of functionality, but it gets really hung up sometimes and freezes.
On the Formulas tab, in the Defined Names group, click Define Name. Enter a name and click OK. There's an even quicker way of doing this. Select the range, type the name in the Name box and press Enter. Now you can use this named range in your formulas. For example, sum Prices.
